How online tutoring works

1. After a consultation call or zoom meeting with parents I'll meet with your child for an initial assessment to determine their strengths and weaknesses.

2. Based on the assessment, I create a customized plan with lessons and activities for your child that are tailored to their specific needs and learning style. I use a variety of tools and technologies to make the lessons multisensory, fun and interactive.

3. Throughout each tutoring session I am constantly assessing and recording data. Because we are working 1:1, I am able to quickly change the direction of my lesson to address an area of need that may have just been uncovered.

4. If you are choosing to work with me it means that you are committed to doing whatever it takes to help your child become a better reader. You and I will be working as a team. I will send reading or activities that are to be done at home that support the work that your child and I are doing together. I will occasionally send links to instructional videos to show you exactly how to do the work at home. Don't worry - I'm only asking that you spend on average about 10- 15 minutes everyday on these activities.
